Virginia Wild Turkey Reporting System
You can help the Department assess wild turkey population status by reporting the number of wild turkeys and broods you see during the summer months. This information is very helpful to the Department in our assessments of wild turkey population and harvest changes. The Department encourages you to contribute to our wild turkey conservation program by reporting these observations on our Web site. Summaries of turkey sightings by cooperators will be updated with each report. This survey is new in 2006 and will take several years to establish baseline data to evaluate changes between years. Please submit observations by September 15 annually.
