It is stocked with trout and channel catfish, but also provides bass, sunfish, and crappie fishing opportunities. The sunfish and crappie have overpopulated Hone Quarry in recent years. In 1998, walleye were stocked experimentally to increase predation on sunfish and crappie to help “thin out” these populations.
