Site CLP08: The Mariners' Museum
A 550-acre park surrounds The Mariners' Museum, one of the area's foremost historic and educational centers. The Mariners' Museum Park includes the Noland Walking Trail and 167-acre Lake Maury. At the lake, boats may be rented to enhance the observation of the reservoir's waterfowl and dragonflies. The Noland Trail offers possible sightings of woodpeckers and songbirds, such as indigo bunting and summer tanager.
