Permit Applications
If you have Microsoft Word on your system, you may download these forms, fill them out on-screen in Word and then save them to your hard drive for your later use, and submit them via email to CollectionPermits@dgif.virginia.gov. Please note that using the Word documents will require that you make some adjustments to the text on-screen as you type. Also note that you will be able to make changes to the form itself, and that if a portion of the form is deleted or left incomplete, this will delay issuance of your permit. You will be able to print the filled-out form before you submit it so that you may retain a paper copy of your submission.

| Scientific Collection Permit | For the collection, or capture and release, of non-listed wildlife for scientific or educational purposes. Two-year permit. | $40.00 |
| Salvage Permit | For the collection of animals found dead for scientific or educational purposes. Three-year permit. | $60.00 |
| Exhibitor's Permit | For the exhibit of live animals for educational purposes. One-year permit. | $20.00 for state agencies, educational institutions, towns, etc. $50.00 for private businesses. |
