New Hunting Opportunity on Virginia's Eastern Shore
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) is pleased to announce an additional opportunity for squirrel hunting enthusiasts on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Through a lease agreement with the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia, the Mink Farm Tract is open to hunters for the Spring squirrel season which runs June 7th-21st. This 425-acre tract is adjacent to the Doe Creek WMA, located near Onancock. More information about this site is available at http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/hunting/regulations/mink-farm-tract/. Parking is available at the Doe Creek WMA parking area. Please note that anyone accessing this site must print, sign, and carry a permit that can be found here: http://vawildlife.org/mink-farm.html. The Mink Farm Tract will be open for a variety of hunting opportunities in the future, including quota hunts.
