DGIF Extends Deadline for Construction of Stationary Blinds
Due to the recent storm event and under the authority of Governor McDonnell's Executive Order 53 declaring a State of Emergency involving Hurricane Sandy, the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF) has extended the deadline for the construction of stationary blinds (§29.1-341.1) for waterfowl hunting east of I-95 to November 15, 2012. Only 2013 stationary blind licenses purchased prior to the deadline date of October 15, 2012, are granted this extension and their location must be in the same site as indicated on the license received from DGIF. If the blind license decal has been destroyed, licensees should contact DGIF Customer Service at 1-866-721-6911 to obtain a duplicate.
