Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries Features
With over 190,000 acres of land, Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is the largest state landowner in Virginia. This map shows the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries' regions, offices, hatcheries, boating access sites, wildlife management areas, and lakes. Five regions divide the Commonwealth into management units, each with a regional office. In order to provide outdoor recreational opportunities, VDGIF maintains over 30 lakes, more than 30 wildlife management areas, 9 hatcheries, and 225 boating access areas.
