Locust Shade Park
Located in a Prince William County park (with the same name), this eight-acre pond is one of Virginia's designated "Urban Fishing Sites".
Harvestable channel catfish are stocked each spring, and there's a creel limit of four catfish daily.
The stocked trout phase (November 1 through April 30) has been reinstated (effective November 2007) but at a reduced stocking frequency. However, anglers should be able to catch rainbow and brown trout consistently during winter months - also at a creel limit of four per day.
There are also resident populations of largemouth bass and bluegill.
