Prizes, food, BB gun and Archery games.  Bring your own rod, reel, and bait.  Event open for ages 3 – 12.  Registration begins at 11:00 am. and ends at 1:00 pm.  Fishing begins at 12:00 pm. and ends at 3:00 pm.  Parking will be at state park picnic area.  State park busses will shuttle people to and from Stock Creek.  There will be handicapped parking only at the park interpretive center.  All Virginia Fishing Regulations apply.

Potomac Bassmasters of Virginia annual youth fishing derby.
Admission to the derby is free and each child will be given a take-away gift for their participation. Angling experience is not necessary as club members will be on hand to help any child who needs assistance. If a child does not have fishing gear, a rod and reel will be provided and live bait will be given to all derby participants at no charge. All fish caught by the children will be weighed-in at the end of the derby. Trophies and prizes will be awarded for the heaviest creels (total fish caught). Children 16 and under.

An event containing several stations focused around fishing, boating, hunting, and outdoor education.
This event will teach young people how to fish, make fly tackle, learn the sport of archery, and much more. Families will be able to observe live raptors and the Rappahannock Spurs Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will have a shooting range available for the youth. The event will focus on youth ages 15 and younger but will be open to all for participation in the activities. Youth 15 and younger can enter in hourly drawings for prizes.
