Authorized Online Virginia Boating Classes

The online boating education courses listed here are accepted by VDGIF as meeting the basic requirements to obtain a boating safety education certificate (including PWC operators). These courses meet the national minimum standards established by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and include Virginia specific boating laws and regulations.

Although Virginia allows online testing, many other states do not. If you intend to operate your boat or PWC in another state that requires proof of boater education, you should consider taking a classroom course (all states accept a classroom course certificate)

The online courses are provided by private businesses. Should you need to contact them for information or to obtain a replacement certificate, please call them directly at the numbers listed below. VDGIF does not issue boating safety certificates for courses taken online.
